Pre-pandemic, where would we find you?

The worst part about lockdown is not being able to go out as much, see your friends, go to your favorite bars and restaurants. I’m missing that social atmosphere. Pre-pandemic you would find me on a lake somewhere. That’s where I spend most of my time. Fishing, winter or summer, I love ice fishing and open water fishing.

Have you always lived in Minnesota?

I’m originally from Lakeville, MN and I recently moved to Austin, MN. I’ve always lived in Minnesota; I love it here and I don’t ever really see myself leaving.

What is one of your earliest childhood memories?

When I was about 2 or 3, one of my earliest childhood memories would be going down to Arizona to visit my grandparents. They lived right behind this pond and there would always be these geese, swans and ducks. I would watch those birds for hours on end…it’s probably where I got my love for duck hunting.

Dead or alive, who would you want to be stranded on a desert island with?

I would pick Michael Jordan. He is one of my all-time favorite basketball players. He is someone that I looked up to throughout my life playing basketball. I would love to pick apart what he knows, how he approaches the game, how he approaches life. I would have faith in him to get us off the island at some point too.

What would be your death row meal?

Bacon cheeseburger, onion rings, cold beer, and my all time-favorite food…apple pie AND apple crisp. I would finish up my meal with both of those.
