TRC partners with communities across MN every year to provide responsible recycling options for unwanted household electronics.
THE NUMBERS
This year The Retrofit Companies Inc., held dozens of recycling events and partnered with cities and counties across Minnesota to provide residents with responsible recycling options for those unwanted household electronics, such as old TV’s or monitors.
2018 is not over yet, but TRC has already shipped over 1,294,422# of residential e-waste. That’s equivalent to approx. 5.5 Blue Whales!
To everyone’s surprise, CRT‘s still keep showing up at these events every year. In 2016, it was estimated that there were still approx. 3 million tons of CRT’s lurking in people’s homes. This is important because CRT’s contain lead and other hazardous materials that needs to be properly disposed of and kept out of landfills.
WORKING WITH TRC
