The Role

We’re looking for a hard-working, positive, and organized individual to join our team as Logistics Manager.  The Logistics Manager will provide direct leadership to our team of hazardous materials drivers and collaborate with the rest of the leadership team to drive success division wide and own the responsibility of delivering on our guarantee, Reliable Service. This opportunity is perfectly suited for individuals who are organized, detail-oriented, and effective communicators. Job-Specific training will be provided; however, ideal candidates have experience and expertise with the following essential duties:

  • Supervise, coach and train driver workforce.
  • Act as the Designated Employer Representative by coordinating required drug testing program for CDL operators.
  • Maintain personal CDL with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements.
  • Forecast transportation resources and labor needs by deadline, to satisfy business and customer expectations.
  • Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse inbound/outbound materials and scheduling.
  • Schedule third-party LTL/FTL shipments, as needed, to satisfy customer requirements.
  • Coordinate vehicle maintenance and inspections and maintain relevant records.
  • Comply with Safety, ELD, DOT and IFTA regulations including maintaining all required licensing.
  • Review incoming orders for accuracy and prepare all required shipping documents and labels.
  • Develop and communicate detailed driver pick-up schedules to maximize transportation efficiencies.
  • Schedule collection events and assign resources and staff to meet event needs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline processes and reduce costs.
  • Ensure that quality, customer satisfaction, and financial commitments are met.
  • Complete metrics reporting and data analysis tasks to identify issues and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Cultivate relationships with vendors, suppliers, and customers.
  • Address and resolve customer complaints and issues related to logistics, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
  • Participate in EOS leadership meetings to correct issues and strengthen the strategy and vision for the future of the division.

Education and Experience

  • Proven working experience as a logistics manager.
  • Record of successful distribution and logistics management.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff.
  • Proficient in standard logistics and mapping/routing software.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
  • Knowledgeable in DOT HAZMAT and IFTA regulations.
  • Experience in Hazardous Waste Manifest System preferred.

Pay Range for this position is $65-70K, depending on experience and knowledge of hazardous waste industry.
