Am I a Small or Large Quantity Generator?
The federal universal waste regulations identify waste generators as either a Very Small Quantity Generator, Small Quantity Generator or a Large Quantity Generator. Whether you are a Very Small Quantity Generator, a Small Quantity Generator or a Large Quantity Generator, you may have a need for a pre-paid recycling solution for small volumes of your waste throughout your waste program.
The differences between Small Quantity and Large Quantity Generators include:
- Very Small Quantity Generator: Accumulate 100 kg or less per month of hazardous waste, or 1 kg or less per month of acutely hazardous waste
- Small Quantity Generator: Accumulates less than 5,000 kg of universal waste
- Large Quantity Generator: Accumulates 5,000 kg or more of universal waste
