Tell Us About Yourself

I’ve been with The Retrofit Companies, Inc. for almost 12 years now. I came to the United States for the first time in 2002 and am originally from Latvia.

What Does Your Day to Day Look Like?

A big part of what I do is understanding and getting familiar with different lighting rebate and incentive programs that are out there and applying them to the lighting jobs and utilizing them.

What Keeps You Busy Outside of Work?

My kids keep me pretty busy. When it’s nice out I like to spend time outdoors and stay active. I’m not much of a baker, but I’ve taken up baking lately…there have been a lot of pies and cookies in our kitchen this winter, so it’s been fun.

What is Something People May Not Know About You?

I am actually a librarian by trade and by training. I worked at the library a little bit before moving to the United States 12 years ago.

What’s The Most Interesting Job You’ve Ever Had?

I worked at Valley Fair as a summer job for 2 consecutive summers after moving to the US. It was a lot of work, a lot of hours, but the perks were awesome. I actually worked in foods in a booth called Pretzel Time, I learned how to do soft serve cones. I met my husband working at Valley Fair.

What Is It Like Working at TRC?

When you have been with a company for that many years, eventually the team that you’re working with becomes your second family. There are a lot of good and knowledgeable people working here and I have made a lot of friends over the years.
