WANTED: Lighting and Energy Design Consultant

The Retrofit Companies, Inc., is an industry leader in LED lighting project design and implementation. We seek an ambitious, outgoing individual, with a great attitude and strong communication skills, to join our sales team.

The Lighting and Energy Design Consultant is responsible for developing and executing a strategic prospecting plan, generating sales opportunities and selling lighting upgrade projects to clients seeking a partner to design and implement lighting solutions that are often energy and cost-saving focused, incorporating LED technology.

Duties and Responsibilities for the Lighting and Energy Design Consultant:

• Follow our outline for success by exceeding all weekly productivity benchmarks.
• Help customers identify and define their lighting upgrade design goals and project requirements.
• Educate customers on all of the benefits of various levels of LED lighting technology and the programs and incentives available to help get the project approved.
• Collaborate with TRC’s Project Development team to provide project solutions that meet all customer expectations.
• Sell turnkey lighting projects on a consistent basis, while nurturing multiple other opportunities at various stages and prospecting new potential project candidates.

Requirements for the Lighting and Energy Design Consultant:

• 5+ years of sales experience in the lighting industry is preferred, however we will train the right candidate.
• Consultative sales experience, selling value over price, through a long sales cycle is preferred.
• Computer, device and software proficiency is required.
• 2-4 year college degree is required.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving history, and a reliable means of transportation is required.
