EXCESS PRODUCT

If your business is relocating, you may want to capture any excess product for reuse at your new facility. It is important to note, however, that many products are often discovered to be expired, obsolete or cannot be transferred without ruining the integrity of the product. If the bulk of your product is captured for reuse, the storage tank will be left with residual materials that require removal.

MAINTENANCE SUPPLIES

These supplies may include cleaning chemicals, boiler treatment chemicals, paints and lubricating oils. Maintenance supplies must be removed when vacating a facility. Some exceptions may include boiler treatment chemicals, though every situation is unique. Contact us with your questions about maintenance supplies.

APPLIANCES, ELECTRONICS & OTHER WASTE

Appliances, electronics and other Universal Wastes are highly regulated and must be properly disposed of when vacating a facility. We provide pickup and removal services for appliances, electronics, and other universal waste.

In addition to identifying regulated waste for removal, all facility closures require an assessment, cleanout and possibly decontamination services. Stay safe and compliant. Let us manage your facility closure.

STORAGE TANKS

These tanks may have been used for storing bulk product, feedstock or waste. Tanks may be required to be demolished or removed when vacating a facility. We provide tank cleaning and removal services and have services tanks ranging from 100 gallons to 1 million gallons.

PROCESS LINES

Any product that is held in storage tanks is typically moved through the facility through a network of pipes or lines. These lines need to be drained and flushed as part of the closure process to prevent accidental release of trapped material.

PITS

Concrete pits are frequently found below equipment that regularly leaks fluids. Pits are usually filled with sludge that is a mixture of dirt, sand, grease, oil, & water. This material requires analytical testing prior to disposal as it may have unexpected contaminants. Contact us if you need help analyzing and cleaning a pit in your facility.

DRAINS & SUMPS

Floor drains in industrial facilities usually include a system to prevent oil or other chemicals from being released into the sanitary sewer.  Sometimes the floor drains are not actually connected to the sewer, instead they act as an underground holding tank.  Other times you will find a sewer lid covering an underground tank called a flam trap or oil trap.  This tank keeps the petroleum from exiting through the sewer system.  These tanks can usually be found near an exit in areas with floor drains and require analysis and cleaning services.

FLOOR CLEANING & DECONTAMINATION

It is common for a company to have small spills of product or chemicals as part of their day to day operations.  This is usually isolated to point of use areas or the areas around the storage tanks and the associated pumping equipment.  These spills may not affect the operations of the current business, but they should be cleaned prior to turning over the facility to prevent future exposure to anyone who may be moving through the space.

We support business closure waste services nationally, and we provide pre-paid container recycling options for the lower 48 states.
