FOURTH BAPTIST CHRISTIAN SCHOOL'S LAB PACK AND CHEMICAL CLEAN OUT
Watch the video below to learn how a straightforward chemical clean-out can reveal important safety and storage issues in a school laboratory.
Fourth Baptist Christian School has been serving students for 53 years. Approximately 25–30 years ago, the school accepted a donation from a local university consisting of a full laboratory’s worth of assorted chemicals. After years in storage, the Science Department determined that most of these materials were no longer needed and that the storage space could be put to better use.
Alan Hodak, Fourth Baptist School Administrator and Executive Director of the Minnesota Association of Christian Schools, and his team recognized the need to dispose of this aging inventory in a safe and responsible manner. They reached out to The Retrofit Companies, Inc. (TRC) and engaged our team of chemical waste experts to assess the situation and properly remove the potentially hazardous materials through our Lab Pack service.
“Something had to be done, and the timing was right,”
– Alan J. Hodak, Administrator at Fourth Baptist Christian School
