Contaminated Wipes or PPE Disposal During COVID-19
Published April 2020
What if Someone Tests Positive for COVID-19 in My Workplace?
Medical waste disposal can be complicated. Many of our customers are facing scenarios where they need to do an entire facility decontamination, or are preparing for these scenarios. We offer no-contact options for proper disposal of all contaminated solids materials, regulated medical biohazard waste solids, PPE, and other waste associated with the cleaning and sanitation of your work space during this COVID-19 pandemic.
COVID-19 Disposal FAQ
- If I need to do a complete building sanitation, what am I supposed to do with the contaminated wipes?
- How do I dispose of contaminated PPE? (masks, gloves, foot protection, eye protection, respirators, body suits etc.)
- How are these materials regulated?
- Can I throw these items in the trash?
- Is there a special storage container?
- Can someone come pick it up?
Disposal Options
While we continue to follow special protocols for our customers during this time, including no-contact recycling pickups, we continue to get questions about decontaminating facilities and how to properly dispose of the associated waste. We do offer multiple pre-paid disposal kits for small volumes of medical waste with no liquid. These are an easy NO-CONTACT method of disposal available immediately.
If you have a large quantity of medical waste, please contact us for pick-up options at 800-795-1230.
